Thank you both! Diane, good questions! Yes, I think my process is different on these. The stitching, not so much, but my desire to combine odd bits for texture or information is really strong. I’ve never been a traditional quilter, but my background in classical sewing has at times heavily influenced how I work with fabric. These days it seems my love for paper, paint, collage is having a stronger affect on how I approach the fabric. interesting how we ebb and flow. Gosh, this should be a whole post perhaps .

I really like both of them! Are you finding that your work on these pieces is different now that you are doing different work currently? Is your stitching different on these than it would have been if you had finished them earlier?

Thanks so much for the comments! Melinda, some of the components are created with a fusion process, relies on acrylic mediums. Beyond that, Misty Fuse is my product of choice for fusing the layers.
